I strive to give my art a stronger voice by choosing topics that need our attention. The idea for this project was born when I was watching the documentary called Chasing Corals. This was a Kickstarter project, and through it I wished to create an artistic depiction of the struggle that the vibrant underwater community is facing with rising temperatures. The project showcased 16 paintings which made one giant underwater view, with beautiful corals interconnecting through the borders of colorful handmade papers and gradually showed the phenomenon of coral bleaching towards the top of the view. Each original artwork is painted with gouache colors, varnished, embroidered and framed.
