Saguaro
Desertscapes on bright yellow and ochre papers are a current favorite of mine. The purple and rust hues on this one contrasts beautifully with the rest of the palette.
This is set of 3 original mixed media painting on colored handmade paper, with gouache, embroidery threads and beads . The size of each painting is approximately 3.5"x5" and is mounted in a float frame. The overall size of each frame is approximately 4.5"x6". The triptych dimensions are approximately 13.5"x6". They come varnished with 2 coats of Krylon Kamar spray varnish to ensure protection from sunlight over time.
The frames are handmade in my home studio from pinewood and has the scene extended on a matching background in gouache paint with couple layers of Krylon spray varnish and two layer of Liquitex Matte varnish. Each frame comes in two parts that are attached with screws on the back. If ever need be, the painting can be detached from the outer frame by removing the said screws.

Each artwork is a standalone piece that is a part of a bigger view. Hence can be placed either in various locations in the house as individual pieces or take the place of honor in a prime spot as a triptych.
