Shakespearean Starlings

It is said that Eugene Schieffelin, the chairman of the American Acclimatization Society, decided to introduce to North America every bird species that was ever mentioned by Shakespeare in his works. He released over 60 imported starlings in the Central Park of New York city. So what has happened by releasing 5 dozen of these blackbirds in the 1800s? Now there are close to 200 million starlings and they are known to have become invasive species, driving the native ones to extinction. Here are three shining birds hanging out over the pine branches, planning and scheming of world domination.

This is a reproduction of the original painting that was done with gouache and embroidery. It has been printed on acid free, heavy 88lb. Polar Matte Paper using a professional fine art printer. This is a borderless archival print and comes in two sizes that can be easily framed.

There is an option of buying these prints stuck on an edgless frame that is painted with matching acrylic paint and then protected with a layer of Liquitex Matte Varnish. Both framed and unframed Prints are hand embellished with gold details to add that extra shine to them and varnished with a layer of Krylon Gloss Varnish. Each print comes with a small info card printed with the above - mentioned desciption of the artwork.
