Textile in Mosaic

Inspired by the beautiful patterns and swirls of Indian textile, this collection is my representation of that bold and colorful element of India. I grew up seeing my mom embroider and sew most of my clothes. She used to tell me her childhood stories and how women in her village used to gather in the evenings and embroider sarees and skirts way into the night. Textile has been and is such an important part of the culture that I come from and hence it has been an absolute joy to create this collection.

I could only do two paintings as a part of this collection but I intend to add more in the future.
